And people say I'm unfeeling. It seems to me the Department of Magical Transportation could do with some sensitivity training!

A tragic night, indeed. One which begs a single, haunting question: could anything have been done to prevent this horrible tragedy?
In case you missed it, The Daily Prophet and I once again bring you intimate, up-to-the-date details of this evening's metal-wreck. Read all about it in this special, evening edition of the paper!
WARDED PRIVATE:What's that saying? One person's loss, another person's gain? Well done, Rita. Very well done, darling.

I'll leave the philosophical debates about freedom of the presses to those better suited for it! As far as I'm concerned, the mystery of who might be behind the voices is far more interesting than the drivel the WWN has been pushing on us, under the guise of "entertainment." Personally I find real life far too intriguing to waste my time on make believe. And those voices! Surprisingly slang-ridden, don't you agree? I always expected their voices would be much smoother -- polished, deep, rich. Older.
So. Any guesses? A poor Mrs. with the shock of a lifetime when she recognized her beloved's gravelly tones? Remember, darling, you can always give me your scoop. I'm the picture of discretion, I assure you!
Speaking of discretion, I'm in need of a professional photographer for a job that is rather more personal than professional. If you're interested in some extra cash, drop me a line.
Ta for now!

Well! To say that today has been overwhelming and exhausting would be something of a misleading understatement. I can only imagine what it's been like in the Minister's office, having managed to squeak in a brief word with the woman of the hour herself late this afternoon. In the interest of journalistic integrity, I won't weigh in on the use of Unspeakables for fear of showing my bias. I will only say I do desperately hope that the added use of violence doesn't lead to more of what we've already seen in 1980: murder! mayhem! mass chaos! I may report on it, but believe me: being constantly in the thick of tragedy is hopelessly draining to one's spirits. I find it difficult to sleep at night, you know.
But if there is more murder, mayhem and chaos, you can be sure to read all about it in my feature column, "Good News/Bad News!" Pick up tomorrow's edition to find out what my sources in Minister Bagnold's office have told me. I have it on good authority that the Minister is second-guessing her decision already; that, in fact, the decision was not something she came to on her own. Was blackmail involved? Could an illustrious white-bearded, moon bespectacled professor be behind this latest, shocking development? Don't be the last to know! Be sure you're subscribing to The Daily Prophet!
